Development Update

Chapter 2 is coming along, albeit a little more slowly than planned. One of the main challenges has been managing multiple story paths — this is my first attempt at creating a visual novel, and balancing branching narratives has definitely been a learning experience.

Another issue I’ve run into is asset availability. As the story moves underground, there aren’t many suitable assets available on platforms like Daz 3D, so I’ve decided to take a bit of a gamble and start creating my own environments using the assets I already have. This is also something completely new to me, so there’s been a fair amount of experimentation involved.

I understand this approach may result in some mixed feedback, but I’m genuinely enjoying trying new things and learning as I go. As development continues, both the game and my skills will continue to improve.

I’ve also been considering changing the main character model. Currently, the protagonist uses a Genesis 8 model, while the female characters are Genesis 9. I may revisit this later, but for now I’m leaning toward keeping things as they are.

At the moment, I’m aiming to release Chapter 2 toward the end of February, assuming everything continues to go smoothly.
